HappUpon Legal
Terms of Use
HappUpon is operated by HappUpon LLC ("HappUpon", "we", "us"). These Terms govern access to HappUpon, including the web app, mobile apps, event discovery, groups, Pages, messaging, billing, and related services.
By creating an account, using the service, managing a Page, posting content, or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from this page.
Accounts
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity under your account.
- You may not create accounts to impersonate another person, evade enforcement, spam users, or interfere with the service.
- HappUpon may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, law, or platform safety requirements.
Events and listings
- HappUpon helps people discover and coordinate around events, but HappUpon is not the organizer, venue, ticket seller, promoter, or safety guarantor for third-party events unless explicitly stated.
- Event details can change. Users should confirm official times, locations, prices, age restrictions, accessibility, cancellation status, and ticketing details with the event organizer or venue.
- Ticket links, official links, imported listings, and organizer-provided information are provided for convenience. The organizer or linked third party remains responsible for the offer and transaction.
User content
- You keep ownership of content you submit, but you grant HappUpon permission to host, display, process, adapt for formatting, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service.
- You must have the rights needed to post names, images, logos, flyers, descriptions, links, comments, messages, and other material you provide.
- We may remove, restrict, or decline to distribute content that appears unlawful, unsafe, misleading, infringing, abusive, spammy, or inconsistent with our policies.
Pages, operators, and organizations
- Page owners, admins, and managers are responsible for the accuracy of Page profiles, events, locations, offers, team access, and any public claims they publish.
- Adding team members gives those users access to Page management features according to their role. Page owners are responsible for choosing and removing team members.
- Paid plans unlock product capabilities. Paid status does not guarantee discovery placement and does not override moderation or safety decisions.
Messaging, groups, and communities
- Direct messages, event messages, group content, Page content, and profile content must follow the Community Guidelines.
- Users may report content, users, events, groups, Pages, event messages, and direct messages. Reported direct messages may expose limited surrounding context to moderators for safety review.
- Blocking and privacy controls may limit follows, messages, and visibility, but they do not create an absolute guarantee that all prior content or metadata disappears from every system.
Subscriptions and billing
- Personal and Page plans are governed by these Terms and the Billing and Organizer Terms.
- Stripe, Apple, or another payment provider may process payments depending on platform, plan type, and region.
- Cancellation, renewal, refunds, invoices, taxes, and seat counts are handled according to the plan, provider, and billing surface shown at purchase or in the billing portal.
Service changes and availability
- HappUpon may change, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, limits, import sources, moderation rules, or availability where needed for product, security, compliance, or operational reasons.
- The service is provided as-is and as-available to the extent permitted by law.
Liability limits
- To the extent permitted by law, HappUpon is not liable for user conduct, event safety, third-party listings, third-party ticketing, venue operations, organizer promises, lost profits, indirect damages, or issues outside our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
